Biography
Shaina Van Mehren is a south florida native. Shaina was born in South Florida and attended South Florida Colleges for her undergrad and law school degrees. Shaina received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University, her Juris Doctorate Degree from Florida International University College of Law and her LLM in Taxation from University of Miami School of Law. Upon entering law school she knew Tax Law was her primary interest. However, after passing the Florida Bar she began her legal career working in civil litigation handling a range of cases, including but not limited to family law, foreclosure defense, probate and Intellectual Property disputes. A little over a year into her legal career, Shaina returned to school to receive her LLM in Taxation and began working with clients on their estate plans, evolving into her current role.
Shaina was admitted and is eligible to practice law in Federal Court in the United States District Court in the Southern District of Florida. Shaina is passionate about providing clients with a strategic estate plan for not only individuals but also for their families and loved ones. She believes it is important for everyone to establish an estate plan to protect not only your current and future assets, but to ensure that your assets will be disbursed in line with your wishes.
