Biography

Shelly Kurland is on the entertainment law team. She is from Florida originally and attended Emory Law in Atlanta, Georgia where she graduated with honors. During law school, she was a competing member and coach for the negotiations team and president of both the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and the Emory Entertainment Alliance. She also won awards for her roles on Emory International Law Review, and her work on copyright and trademark was published. 

Her legal internships and music experience include Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, Warner Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and a music law firm in New York City, where she passed the New York Bar Exam and continued working for over a year after graduating. She now applies her knowledge and experience to the Hachar Law Group’s entertainment team.
